Newsletter for the Week of September 29th
Well, it's the last week of September! Where did this month go?
I want to remind everyone that there is NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th. September 29th is a professional development day for teachers. Students enjoy your day off and please don't forget that the Shelter Project Assignment is due this Monday, October 6th. Thank you to everyone who has turned in their project early. The projects that have come in are spectacular!
From The School Nurse:
Health screening (vision, hearing, Ht/Wt) will take place during gym on Wednesday (Oct 1st.) Please be sure your student has his/her glasses that day, if prescribed.
Nurse Baring is still looking for parent volunteers, half-day or full-day shifts. Training provided. No medical experience needed. Lunch provided as well. Contact her: [email protected]. Or feel free to either stop by her office, or call her at 479-6963 x 3.
Nurse Baring is also in need of boys and girls pants. Boys: sizes 6-9. Girls: sizes 7-9. Prefer stretchy, sweatpants or sports pants. Gently used are just fine.
From The Music Teacher:
We have started playing recorders in 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade. There are still many students who have not brought in a recorder, or paid $6.50 for a new one. Please do so soon.
This Week In Class:
Spelling: A vowel followed by r stands for a new sound. Homophones are words that sound the same but have different spellings and meanings.
